ive always been a very vain person right from being a kiddy, was a handsome boo boo bear looking kid, light brown hair, blue eyescute etc.but ive endured a harsh Registered User life struggles so farand difficult struggles and stresses ,psychological Joined: Friday, 28th of May 2010, 14:28:28 struggles etc.
unfortunately ive aged in my face more than id Posts: 446 like, i've also sustained minor injuries / disfigurementsthat ive been Viewed 19485 times told cant be repaired.
years ago l had an accident when l
headbutted a wall and l lost my 2 front lower bottom teeth, im saving for
implants which cost thousands, so l suppose something can be done there.
but -l injured my little finger on my left hand years agowhen
l fell over something, its nowpermanently crooked slightly, hand surgeons in
the NHShave told me itcan not be repaired or straightened .
i
also punched a stone boulder years back inrage explosions,my hand swelled
up at the time,( my right hand )- the swelling went downand l thought
nothing more.
but l hit a punch back months ago and get
shooting pains in my knuckle, even though l can use my right hand
normally,it was discovered by the same surgeonl probably'' damaged the
nerves in my right knuckle '' - through punching the boulder-but he said
again'' nothing can be done to repair it '' -that the '' nerves are so
fineetc ''
i just have to live with it etc.
i tore
the ankle ligaments in my left ankle2 years ago in an injury to it ,
recently had an operation to fix it, was in a cast for 6 weeks now have to
do physio exercises to strengthen it.
so im hoping my ankle is
fixed properly now, feels very weak and unsteady.
but
what is bothering me and nagging at me is the thought that , if l wentand
paid to see a private consultantfor my hand injuries, somethingreally could
be done to fix them.
its the vanity thats causing me to think
of it.
so - should l just accept what the NHS surgeon said
originally that nothing can be done to repair my hand disfigurements ? /> live withthe imperfections ?
or if l paid privately to
see a private surgeon , could they repair the disfigurements? would it be
worth it ?
could they fix and make perfect my hand
disfigurements that the nhs surgeons can not ?
could l be
missing out on a surgical procedure that could fix mycrooked finger and
damagedknuckle nerves ?
vanity wo not leave me aloneas
well as a dose of ocd and perfectionism.

I have many imperfections as well. I had a very small spot on Fluffy Bunny Babi the bridge of my nose & some areas on my cheek. I went for laser surgery & Registered User asked if they could touch on the spot on the bridge. it left a scar worse Joined: Tuesday, 4th of May 2010, 07:31:05 that the small unnoticeable spot. That is what vanity get you. Posts: 356 I broke a finger in the study of Kung Fu from a young man who kicked me & Viewed 8717 times I blocked it wrong. The finger was set at the hospital but will never be
Straight again. It took almost a year before I could make a fist again.
When my hair started to turn gray in vanity, I started to color it & now
it is thinning on top. I doubt It would have done that had I not colored
it.
I suggest you might take another look at those things you don't like & see
them as scars for the lessons you have learned about yourself Obviously
anger was one issue you have dealt with as many of us men have.
I suggest also you look inside & heal those scars, smile a lot & allow
people to be attracted to a nice person with a smile. Only those who are
supposed to will be attracted to you anyhow. Most are for ur lessons in
life. Go with the flow & allow life to take it is course. Be happy you are
not worse off mate!

Firstly I think the issue is more with ur rages, maybe you Baby kay should get ur temper sorted before getting anything fixed as there is no Registered User point in repairing something just to injure yourself again! Joined: Monday, 24th of May 2010, 23:30:18 Posts: 383 Secondly, you can get a second opinion privately & see whether they can Viewed 5547 times repair the damage & how much it will cost but the chances are if the NHS
can not fix it then the private surgeon won't be able to either.
If it is not causing you pain & is just slightly disfigured it shouldn't
be a big deal as really no one will even be looking at ur hand, there are
people in the world who are far more disfigured than you & have to live
with it. Keep ur exercises up for ur ankle & it will gradually get
stronger.

i think you have anger issues, not that im saying there is Angel Baby anything wrong with you. one of my best friends has the same problem in Registered User his right hand bc he got mad & punched a tree! however, with them causing Joined: Wednesday, 9th of June 2010, 19:38:05 this much problem to ur life you should really either get anger Posts: 1502 management, or try to keep reminding yourself ''its not worth it'' or even Viewed 12080 times see a therapist. Anger issues usually start at a young age & are caused
because of something from childhood, what? different people have different
reason. my friend, his dad is an alcoholic & he felt he was always
responsible for his mother & sister. this more thna likely caused his
anger isssues because his father was a mean & agry drunk. anyways.
your imperfections.. i have NEVER met someone that doesnt have several of
these. Imperfections suck mainly because you care more about them than
anyone else. As for the pinky.. my great grandmother & i both have crooked
pinkys.. can you imagine.. ive had both my pinkys like that my whole life!!
lol
your hand.. just make sure to take care of it & try to not mess it up
worse by hitting things.
good luck & feel better =]
oh yeah.. & dont get any of them except maybe ur teeth fixed. they are
like scars.. they show you what youve been through! ur children(if you
have any or ever have any) will look up & say ''daddy what happened to ur
pinky'' & boy will you have a story to tell. much more interesting father
than one with no imperfections eh?
